Dear Braunvieh SA Breeder,

Herewith the entry forms for the National Braunvieh SA Sale. The Sale will take place on 5 October 2016 at the GWK Complex, Kimberley.

I would like to bring the following to your attention:

1. Entry fees will be R550.00 per bull, R330.00 for females and R100.00 for commercial animals.
2. Male and female animals do not need to be halter tamed, but must be ready to be auctioned, that is in a show condition.
3. Entry Fees must be included with the entry form and made payable to the Braunvieh SA Society.
4. All bulls at the National Sale must have been branded or will be branded the day before the sale after the screening.
5. Indexes must meet the minimum breed standards.
6. Members have a choice: they may have their animals inspected on the farm before they start preparing the animals for the sale or they may have the animals inspected at the sale the day before the sale, but the latter will be at the member's own risk if the animal does not comply with the requirements and therefore rejected.
7. Bulls must be tested for venereal diseases and for fertility. Test results may not be older than three months before the sale.
Fertility and Trichomoniose certificates must be provided to the inspectors prior to inspection.
The draft catalogue will be sent to all sellers before printing. Each seller will have 48 hours to check and correct the details. If the seller does not let the office know, the information will be cleared to be correct.

Closing date for entries is 12 July 2016.

No animals may be sold before, after or during the sale, except those sold in the ring. A minimum of 20 bulls and 30 female animals and commercial animals are needed and breeders are asked to support this sale.
